MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to work at our neighborhood pediatric therapy center!

Our services include ABA Therapy, Feeding/Swallowing Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy & Speech Therapy. Affordable screenings for Speech-Language development, fine & gross motor development, sensory impairment, and autism are also offered.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide Supervision to ABA Technicians.
  • Maintain caseload of clients: Provide Two hours of supervision/10 hours that the technician works directly with the client. During this time, offer training in the principles of ABA to technician.
  • Encourage parents to participate in parent-training sessions at minimum of 1x/week or document issues with implementation of this best practice for parent coaching.
  • Train/teach each staff member and parent on their client/child's specific IPOS and behavior treatment plan before services begin.
  • Track data in weekly progress notes in the form of charts, graphs, etc.
  • Track due dates of monthly and quarterly progress reports. Track and complete biannual assessment and treatment plan reports.
  • Develop child-specific skill acquisition programs and/or behavior treatment intervention plans in accordance with the principles of ABA therapy.
  • Monitor and adjust behavior plan throughout treatment period in accordance with the child's progression.
  • Implement new and remove old programs once mastery is achieved.
  • Submit weekly supervision notes for each client with what was covered during supervision, progress on goals and behavior graphing via our electronic medical record.
  • Conduct initial assessments (ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, AFLS, PEAK, etc) at intake and every 6 months thereafter and document findings in our electronic medical record.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and training workshops.
  • Organize and create teaching materials. Participate in center maintenance activities (including stimulus material creation, toy and other item cleanup and other related activities)
  • Work collaboratively with teammates, parents and other professionals.
  • Demonstrate an ability to communicate on a professional level, orally and in written form, to Community Mental Health agencies regarding client's current status and needs, or any other pertinent information.
  • Work effectively with coworkers to facilitate both team and individual development and foster meaningful and harmonious relationships among coworkers.
  • Maintain a high level of ongoing communication with administration in all areas relating to client and staff related issues.
  • Be aware of and adhere to the Michigan Child Protection Law, especially as it relates to the mandatory reporting of suspected child abuse and/ or neglect. Be aware and adhere to the Office of Recipient Rights reporting and conduct requirements.
  • Adhere to confidentiality for all consumers of the program. Demonstrate and practice an understanding of the laws pertaining to confidentiality of the State of Michigan as well as Federal HIPAA laws.
  • Assist, substitute, or help other staff as needed to ensure continuity of coverage.
  • Work to promote an atmosphere of openness, honesty, and understanding among all staff and administrative personnel.
  • Work cooperatively with other departments/programs within MetroEHS to ensure that they have all the necessary information in a timely fashion as requested or required.
  • Ensure that the client is in a safe and positive environment at all times.
  • Ensure that the client is always within arm’s length from the technician &/or BA.
  • Exhibit punctuality to work, attendance, meetings, trainings, and other assigned duties.
  • Interact constructively with families, other staff, outside agencies, and administrators.
  • Other job duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a master’s degree or higher in applied behavior analysis.
  • Possesses a BCBA or BCaBA certificate through the BACB board.
  • Possesses a valid state BCBA or BCaBA license as required by the State(s) in which services are to be rendered.
  • Possess an eight-hour supervision certificate or will soon obtain an 8-hour supervision certificate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,800.00 - $81,884.00 per year
